Quality Assurance Associate

We’re looking for full-time Quality Assurance (QA) Associate to join our growing team and help us better ensure the quality of our software products. As a Junior QA Associate, you will produce and execute manual test plans as well as run automated tests to ensure our software runs smoothly and meets our clients’ needs.

Our ideal Junior QA Associate will be responsible not only for conducting tests before product launches, they will also be involved at all stages of software development to identify and resolve system malfunctions. You must have a keen eye for detail, excellent organizational and communication skills. Critical thinking and problem solving abilities are a must, as well as skilled execution of test cases and a passion for quality.

We expect individuals to:

• Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
• Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
• Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
• Execute automation scripts
• Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
• Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
• Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs
• Work with internal teams (e.g. developers and product manager) to identify system requirements
• Work with the product manager to understand the scope of the software and future development

It would be great, but not necessary, if you have any of the following:

• Work experience in the software/technology industry
• An understanding of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
• Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
• Hands-on experience with automated testing tools
• Experience with database operations
• Experience with performance and/or security testing
• College-level studies in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
