Technical Trainer

The Technical Trainer enables both MCCI and Customer outcomes through orchestration of effective training and passionate customer focus. They drive MCCI’s most complex projects and educate our clients to remove barriers resulting in delivery of successful outcomes. The Technical Trainer is a key MCCi role in leading a successful customer engagement, maintaining program health, and leading best practice training methodologies for our clients nationwide.

This role reports to the Functional Program Lead and is responsible for managing all training related to the implementation lifecycle of complicated Laserfiche configurations and other technology related projects. Technical Trainers are responsible for gathering, interpreting, and translating complex business requirements into successful training experiences for our clients. Technical Trainers grow in their knowledge of our software solutions like Laserfiche. Eventually, they become software experts and are self-motivated with the ability to work independently without direction. The ideal candidate thrives in a Work Hard – Play Hard culture! What you’ll do:

  • Lead client-facing software training virtually on camera or in-person to learners with diverse technical skills, maintaining consistent and positive delivery throughout a three-hour session, upwards of three to four days each week.
  • Assess client training needs through client interviews and discussions with the project team.
  • Select appropriate training approaches and topic sequence to get the right individuals trained at the right time.
  • Proactively schedule and manage training sessions for projects and clients of varying sizes.
  • Create new and routinely review training materials to improve instructional delivery and post-training retention.
  • Write clear process-specific instructions for clients to distribute.
  • Keep apprised of industry developments for training adult learners.
  • Maintain the standard for client trainings and assist in elevating the training skills of other Professional Services team members by leading internal training and distributing materials.
  • Occasionally lead projects as a Project Manager that are not Training focused to add a little spice to your role

What you’ll need to be successful:

  • At least two years of corporate training experience with a focus on technology, preferably client facing, or Bachelor’s degree in Education
  • A passion and propensity for Project Management principles by being a detailed focus person with great empathy and pursuit of client satisfaction
  • Demonstrates a history of proposing and implementing process improvement initiatives
  • Working proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word and PowerPoint
  • Self-directed attitude
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Superb oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Calm and patient demeanor
  • Working knowledge of common learning theories, instructional theories, and instructional strategies for adult learners, preferred.
  • Training curriculum management and development, preferred.
  • Experience with Laserfiche, Gold Certified, a plus.
