The Sheriff Department’s mission is to provide professional law enforcement services to their citizens and visitors, while fostering community partnerships and providing a work environment that promotes community service, innovation and teamwork. As an 18 year-old student clerk, Haylee was able to get buy in from the Sheriff’s Department to implement Laserfiche as their paperless solution. While her career skyrocketed past student clerk, she remembers the early days of Laserfiche.
“Our HR department used to have a filing room that was fireproof, and now all files are scanned in directly to Laserfiche. Our recruiting department used to only accept printed paper applications that you either had to come in to fill out or you could print from home. They were receiving around 50 applications a month with that system.”
“The first month we implemented the online application, the applicants tripled, reaching up to 800 applications in one month alone,” said Glasscock.
While implementing Laserfiche allowed their organization to streamline their business processes beyond a filing cabinet, it also enabled Glasscock to strengthen her technical knowledge and fully engulf herself in the Laserfiche community. “I’m really proud of gaining knowledge about Laserfiche. There is so much information out there, from MCCi, Laserfiche Answers, YouTube, etc. I started small with vendor files and used a lot of the resources given to users. I just recently got CPP Gold Certified, and getting that certification was a driving factor for getting me into the IT department. There were user groups hosted by MCCi, and regional trainings to network that helped me learn more,” explained Glasscock.
With hopes to have a full team dedicated to Laserfiche in the future, Glasscock is certain that her knowledge and passion for Laserfiche will help her innovate and grow within the organization.
