“Laserfiche allows us the ability to generate improved production reporting as well as real time turnarounds for our patients."
Patient Services, Inc. (PSI) is the “ground breaking”501(c)(3) non-profit, charitable organization that provides a “safety net” for patients with chronic illnesses who need assistance with expensive premiums and copayments. Like many other organizations, PSI has transitioned to a paperless environment over the past few years. Prior to the transition, the day to day operational process involved a high volume of paper documents. To better serve their patients and become more efficient, PSI implemented Laserfiche.
PSI went live with Laserfiche in late 2014, and the change has been extremely successful. PSI’s Operations Department was the first to take full effect of the services Laserfiche provides. Workflow’s have been set up to eliminate extra time and work to distribute documents to the appropriate personnel. Excessive paper has also been eliminated from the department. Previously, every document was printed and filed away in a filing cabinet. Now, all documents and records are safely stored in their personal Laserfiche Repository where they can easily be searched and found.
PSI Project Manager, Stacy Pugh mentions, “We continue to make small changes to fine-tune our workflows and adjust for changes in the organization. Laserfiche allows us the ability to generate improved production reporting as well as real time turnarounds for our patients. There has been little to no learning curve with the system, which allowed for an almost seamless change in process. Overall, this change has allowed us to be more efficient as an organization and positioned us for future growth.”
PSI continues to expand its’ usage of their Laserfiche system throughout other departments within its’ organization, such as Finance and Marketing Administration. PSI will continue implementing Laserfiche enterprise wide and will be able to operate even more efficiently.
