What the Experts Say About Laserfiche

2018 state of market industry reports blog graphic - what the experts say about Laserfiche

Laserfiche Provides the Highest Overall Usability

A Gartner Magic Quadrant is a culmination of research in a specific market, giving you a wide-angle view of the relative positions of the market’s competitors. Gartner explains that by applying a graphical treatment and a uniform set of evaluation criteria, a Magic Quadrant helps you quickly ascertain how well technology providers are executing their stated visions and how well they are performing against Gartner’s market view.

This research has a significant impact on our industry, especially because we are the top solution provider for Laserfiche in the United States. Our team focuses on developing and providing professional services and solutions for supporting SaaS (software as a service) products that are disrupting our industry, culture and the way we work – in a good way!

What’s the difference between IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS?

  • IaaS is the lowest level of service providing infrastructure only as a service.
  • PaaS is a step up because it provides the operating system and application services as a service and encompasses both hardware and software tools necessary for application development and both remain hosted in the provider’s infrastructure.
  • SaaS is a method of software delivery and licensing in which software is accessed online via a subscription instead of installing local software on an individual computer or server.

SaaS came about in 1998 and started taking off around 2001. Marc Benioff invented a cloud model of software on the web with Salesforce.com in 1999. And Concur, a travel and expense company, took their packaged software from CD-ROMS to licensed software and finally to the cloud in 2001. MCCi is a SaaS development company, as well.

Laserfiche is MCCi’s top enterprise solution, SaaS product. JustFOIA is another SaaS solution, powered by MCCi, that was developed for public records request management in 2005 and it continues to grow our client base in the public sector as well. Our development team designed multiple integrations to connect with Laserfiche to allow organizations to capture and share data via API’s, legacy software and ERP (enterprise resource planning) systems.

If you haven’t heard yet, Gartner updated the market definition for enterprise content management (ECM) to content services platforms (CSP) in 2018Gartner defines content services platforms (CSPs) as a set of services and microservices, embodied as an integrated product suite and applications that share common APIs and repositories, to exploit diverse content types and to serve multiple constituencies and numerous use cases across an organization. Originally, ECM products were stand-alone document repositories that lacked flexibility until modern day shifts were made to ECM with advanced technologies, like artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML) and robotic process automation (RPA), to develop business process automation (BPA). The benefits of this technology are changing the way we work forever.

According to G2 Crowd, in the Nucleus Research’s ECM Technology Value Matrix 2018 they reported Laserfiche’s client retention rating as greater than 90%. And MCCi consistently receives a 98% renewal rating from our Laserfiche clients. We couldn’t have said it better than Laserfiche when they summed up their ‘why’ for the solutions they offer and the services they provide:

Our customers are at the heart of everything we do. We’re proud to build the technology behind new and improved products and services, innovative initiatives, and cultural shifts. We build the tools. Our customers change the world.
